In order to protect livestock health, Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) Veterinary Services has organised a vaccination campaign against Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) in the bustling hamlet of Teshie. This programme aims to protect goats and sheep from an acute or subacute viral disease that causes fever, necrotic stomatitis, diarrhoea, pneumonia, and, in some cases, death.
Dedicated veterinary officers, armed with syringes and vials of PPR vaccine, worked tirelessly to immunise these important creatures. The technique entailed carefully administering the vaccination to each goat and sheep, ensuring their health and resilience against this dangerous disease.
