TRAINING FARMERS ON CONTAINER / BACKYARD GARDENING AT ST ANNS-TESHIE CATHOLIC CHURCH

On October 9, 2023,  Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) held a substantial training programme for farmers on container/backyard gardening at St Anns – Teshie Catholic Church. This effort was part of LeKMA’s greater objective of continuously improving livelihoods and providing enough socioeconomic infrastructure in a fair and sustainable manner for the Municipality’s residents.
The programme sought to provide local farmers with the knowledge and skills they needed to maximise their agricultural output in limited locations, such as backyards or tiny pieces of land. Farmers can cultivate a variety of crops in a controlled environment using planting containers, resulting in greater yield and food security.
