THE SPECIAL CLEAN-UP EXERCISE IN LEDZOKUKU ENDS SUCCESSFULLY.

Under the directives of the Hon. Regional Minister to all MMDAs, based on observations made by the GARCC, a four-day comprehensive clean-up exercise took place within the Ledzokuku Municipality from Wednesday, 21st January 2026 to Saturday, 24th January 2026, aimed at ensuring a clean and healthy environment after the Christmas and New Year festivities.

The exercise took place around the following areas respectively:

* Manet Junction
* Palace Mall
* Accra Mall
* Teshie Link Road area
* Action Chapel
* Casa Trasacco area
* Monoplant roundabout
* LEKMA Hospital area
* LEKMA Police Station
* Agblezaa
* Teshie Link Road Lotto Kiosk to The Green Hotel Junction

The exercise took the form of weeding, desilting of gutters, rubbish evacuation, beautification, dredging and clearing of weedy grassy roadway medians

The clean-up exercise was well organized by the Environmental Health Department headed by Madam Doris Lawoe, and strategically coordinated by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs Rhodaline Adwoa Conduah under the able supervision of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Israel Adjetey Otchwenmah

Members of the Environmental Health and Sanitation Sub-Committee, Assembly Members, Sanitation Task Force, Sanitation Workers, NADMO, GNFS, YEA recruits, ‘Okada’ groups and community members all took part in the massive and intensive clean-up exercise.

A team from RCC was present to observe and ensure that the guidelines were duly followed.
