REGIONAL MINISTER VISITS TESHIE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, visited the Teshie Traditional Council on Tuesday, 2nd December, 2025, as she embarks on a working tour of all 13 traditional councils within the region.

The rationale behind the move is to reiterate governments commitment in partnering with traditional leaders to provide opportunities for dialogue for accelerated development.

The Hon. Minister and her entourage were warmly received and welcomed by the Gbetsoolo Nii Ashitey Akomfra III, Teshie Mantse and President of the Teshie Traditional Council.

Hon. Linda Ocloo assured the council of the completion of the street lighting within Teshie by December, 2025 to enhance security, especially, during the festive season.

She, again, indicated her intent to secure a bus to aid the movements of the council upon a request made by the Gbetsoolo Nii Ashitey Akomfra III, during the visit .

The Minister presented assorted drinks, and an undisclosed amount of money to the council.

Dignitaries present included the Mayor of Accra – Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, Chief Director, GARCC – Mrs. Lilian Baeka, the Hon MP – Benjamin Narteh Ayiku, the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive – Israel Adjetey Otchwenmah, the Municipal Coordinating Director – Mrs. Rhodaline Adwoa Conduah, Members of the Traditional Council, MUSEC representatives, Assembly Members, and Heads of Departments of LekMA.
