LeKMA ORGANISES BREAST CANCER SCREENING FOR STAFF MEMBERS

In a commendable initiative, the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) recently organized a breast cancer screening event for its staff members. The event, held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aimed to promote early detection and raise awareness about the importance of regular screenings.

Dr. Sandra Ashong, a Health Management Officer from LEKMA Hospital, delivered an insightful presentation on breast cancer, its symptoms, and the significance of routine check-ups. Staff members were also given practical demonstrations on self-examination techniques and encouraged to perform regular checks.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, addressing concerns about breast cancer complications, treatment options, and preventive measures. This initiative underscores LeKMA’s commitment to the health and well-being of its staff.
