LEDZOKUKU MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY MARKS NATIONAL SANITATION DAY (NSD)

The Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA), on Saturday, 4th October, 2025 organized a massive clean-up exercise in line with the relaunch of the National Sanitation Day by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama on 6th September, 2025, aiming to promote continuous community cleanliness on monthly basis and daily enforcement.

The clean-up exercise began at Teshie Link Road, through Manet Junction all the way to the Flowerpot Roundabout.

While some swept the streets and desilted choked gutters, others cleared overgrown weeds.

Key participants included the Hon. MCE, Mr Israel Adjetey Otchwenmah, the Environmental and Sanitation Sub-Committee Chairman, Hon. Charles Ashie Kotey, Hon. Assembly Members, Heads of Department and Staff of the Assembly, as well as the Sanitation Task Force, and residents from the community.
