Green Ghana Day, an initiative of the government aimed at restoring forest cover and mitigating climate change through a national tree planting exercise, has been implemented at the Teshie Landing Beach.
Dr. Rachel Cann, Head of Agric, said, “the target for the 2025 Green Ghana Day is to plant 20 million trees across the country of which LekMA and Impact Life Insurance Company Ltd planted 200 coconut seedlings along the Sangonaa Landing Beach.
According to Mr. Stephen Seshie, Ag. Chief Distribution Officer of Impact Life Insurance,
every death claim made is replaced with a tree, thus, the essence in collaborating in such an important exercise which is rightly in line with their Corporate Social Responsibility.
