LeKMA ORGANIZES FISH FARMING JOB TRAINNING FOR THE YOUTH IN THE MUNICIPALITY.

The Government of Ghana is launching an exciting initiative to create job opportunities for the youth in the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) through catfish farming. This project aims to empower young people by providing them with the skills and resources needed to succeed in aquaculture.

For the first six months, the government will sponsor the project, covering essential costs and providing training to ensure participants are well-equipped to manage their catfish farms. This support includes the provision of fingerlings, feed, and necessary equipment.

By investing in this initiative, the government hopes to boost local employment, enhance food security, and stimulate economic growth within the municipality. This project not only offers a sustainable livelihood for the youth but also contributes to the broader goal of developing the agricultural sector in Ghana.

LeKMA HELD FEE FIXING CONSULTATIVE MEETINGS WITH SOME SELECTED STAKEHOLDERS FOR 2025

The Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) recently held fee-fixing consultative meetings with chosen stakeholders. These sessions aimed to review and amend rates and levies for various municipal services and facilities. Municipal authorities, department heads, and representatives from local businesses and property owners were among the notable attendees.
During the meetings, stakeholders were able to express their concerns and provide feedback on the proposed charge adjustments. This collaborative approach assures that the new fee structures are equitable, transparent, and responsive to the community’s demands and economic situations.
The LeKMA’s effort to engaging with stakeholders demonstrates its dedication to inclusive governance and excellent financial management. By incorporating the community in decision-making processes, the assembly hopes to instill a sense of ownership and accountability in its residents.
