2024 ANNUAL FARMERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

LekMA’s 2024 Annual Farmers’ Day Celebrations.
The Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly successfully hosted 40th National Farmers day celebration on 8th November, 2024. The event was hosted at the Teshie Mac Dan Astro Turf, Alloway.
This year’s theme is “Building Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security.” The importance of value addition in agriculture, particularly in fisheries and aquaculture, has become increasingly significant, offering the nation opportunities for additional revenue generation, job creation, and foreign exchange earnings.
The Farmers’ Day award ceremony recognizes farmers for their hard work throughout the year, serving as motivation to continue their efforts in agriculture and fisheries. Celebrating Farmers’ Day is essential for both the Ledzokuku Municipality and the country as a whole, providing a platform to honor farmers for their commitment to supplying food and livestock for widespread consumption.
