The Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) has announced on December, 13, 2023 a new programme targeted at improving lettuce distribution from our region to surrounding areas. This effort makes use of developed vehicles for the safe and efficient transporting of fresh food.
These vehicles are supplied with advanced cooling systems to keep the lettuce fresh during transportation. This not only helps to keep the freshness of the fruit, but it also increases its shelf life, decreasing waste and perhaps increasing profits for our local farmers.
This programme demonstrates LEKMA’s dedication to supporting our local agricultural community and ensuring that our high-quality produce reaches a larger market.
