MHMT Collaborates with LeKMA for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In a powerful alliance, the (MHMT) and the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) are joining forces to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here’s how we’re making a difference:
- Community Engagement:
- Radio Campaigns: Tune in to local radio stations for informative broadcasts on breast cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
- Community Talks: We’re organizing interactive sessions in neighborhoods, schools, and community centers. Experts will discuss risk factors, self-examination, and the importance of regular screenings.
- Screening Clinics:
- Mobile Clinics: Our joint efforts include mobile breast cancer screening clinics. These clinics will visit various communities, offering free or low-cost mammograms and clinical breast exams.
- School Screenings: We’re collaborating with schools to provide age-appropriate education and screenings. Early awareness can save lives.
