PREPARING FOR THE RAINS
As part of the Preparations and steps to mitigate the destruction of flood within the Municipality, I toured some flood-prone areas with the Minster for Works and Housing to access and seek some support from the Ministry of Works and Housing. Dredging of Sango stream, Opening of the water channel, around A-life(Teshie -Nungua Estate), and some development control works around ICGC, Bushroad.
NB: Some dredging works are ongoing at Demo.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT – NEW GOVERNMENT DIRECTIVES ON PROPERTY RATES COLLECTIONS.

As part of the new government directives with property rates revenue collections, the MCE, the PM and the Director, as well as Staff of Ledzokuku, met with various people of the municipal for community engagement on February 16th 2023.
Guests present, included representatives of Lekma, members of the Developments Associations, representatives of the Chieftaincy in Teshie, units/departments heads of the municipal, government appointees, also members of the residents association and various individuals from the municipal.
Issues discussed
New developments in the assembly’s property rates. How governments intends to collect property rates in order to bring revenue for the municipality.
The new mode of revenue collection is now done by the GRA.
The rates are sure to increase because rates have not been updated since 2017. The rate increase is solely dependent on which category of property one falls in , rating from 50% to 70%.
Property rates collections is going to be a completely cashless system, almost a self service.
You will receive a link www.myassembly.gov.gh, there you will find your bill and pay it electronically.
The revenue team will guide people through the payment procedure.
Once you pay you will receive an electronic EGCR
The MCE urged all to adhere to the new directives in order to foster developments in our assembly.
 
 

LEDZOKUKU MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMITTEE (LekMPC) HOLDS A TECHNICAL SUB-COMMITTEE INSPECTION

Ledzokuku Municipal Planning Committee (LekMPC) Holds A Technical Sub-Committee Inspection On 2nd February, 2023

The inspection took place on various locations such as Okpoi-Gonno, North Teshie and Hedzoleman.
It was supervised by the Secretary of the Spatial Planning, key members of the committee and some members of the heads of departments and units of the assembly.
