LEKMA IN COLLABORATION WITH THE PROJECT BRAVE AND GIZ UNDERTAKES E-WASTE CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING.
LEKMA in the collaboration with Project BRAVE Foundation and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) begun a five(5) day capacity building training for e-waste collectors, focusing on twenty(20) women in the municipality.
The objective of the program is to manage the indiscriminatory e-waste and the hazardous nature of the improper disposal of e-waste in the municipality. The training is a startup hub for females within the municipality to acquire relevant skills in entrepreneurship, emerging technology, environmental and climate sustainability.
LEKMA will continue to collaborate with Project BRAVE and (GIZ) to ensure internship opportunities and industrial-relevant skills in the e-waste secular economy.

LEDZOKUKU MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMITTEE (LEKMPC) HOLDS A SPATIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

Ledzokuku Municipal Planning Committee (LeKMPC) holds a Spatial Planning Committee meeting on 17th November 2022. The meeting which took place at the conference hall/assembly hall saw the attendance of the M.C.E, Honorable Mordecai Quarshie, the Municipal Chief Director, Engr. John Tsikor, Secretary of the Spatial Planning, key members of the committee and some members of the heads of departments and units of the assembly.

LeKMA HOLDS FOURTH QUARTER AND ANNUAL REVIEW MUNICIPAL PLANNING CO-ORDINATING UNIT MEETING (MPCU)

A Fourth Quarter MPCU meeting of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly was held on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022. The meeting which took place at the Assembly Hall saw the attendance of the Municipal Coordinating Director, Ing. John Tsikor and some key heads of Departments and Units at the Assembly.
The matters discussed at the meeting included presentation of Fourth Quarter and Annual Progress Report by Departments and Units.

2023 BUDGET HEARING

The 2022 Regional Budget Hearing which was organized from Wednesday, 26th to Monday, 31st October, 2022 was held successfully.
At this event, the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly hosted two other Assemblies namely; Krowor Municipal Assembly and Tema West Municipal Assembly as was mandatory for zone 5. The event took place at the Oak Plaza Hotel, Spintex.
The Budget Hearing is backed by the Public Financial Management Act, 2016(ACT 921), and Public Financial Management Regulations, (L.I. 2378).
Stakeholders from the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council, Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development Ministry, and the Ministry of Finance were present to evaluate the effectiveness of the Implementation of Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP).

In attendance were also Civil Society Organizations, Opinion leaders, citizens of the state, as well as the media. This gave everyone the opportunity to have an open discourse and to scrutinize the Assemblies’ overall revenue and expenditure budget.

LEDZOKUKU MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMITTEE (LekMPC) HOLDS A TECHNICAL SUB-COMMITTEE INSPECTION

Ledzokuku Municipal Planning Committee (LekMPC) Holds A Technical Sub-Committee Inspection on 8th November, 2022.

The inspection took place on various locations such as East Airport, Obediben, Teshie-Nun Housing Est, Agblezah, Naaflajor, Okpoi-Gonno, North-West Teshie and Martey Tsuru.
It was supervised by the Secretary of the Spatial Planning, key members of the committee and some members of the heads of departments and units of the assembly.
