LEDZOKUKU MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMITTEE (LEKMPC) HOLDS A SPATIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

Ledzokuku Municipal Planning Committee (LeKMPC) holds a Spatial Planning Committee meeting on 28th April 2022. The meeting which took place at the conference hall/assembly hall saw the attendance of the M.C.E, Honorable Mordecai Quarshie, the Municipal Chief Director, Engr. John Tsikor, Secretary of the Spatial Planning, key members of the committee and some members of the heads of departments and units of the assembly

Sensitization exercise organized by the Natonal disaster Management organization on floods, fire safety and climate change at Lascala Market, Tso eshi market Adoemli, Demo, Mangoaese, Tse Teshie Zongo  and other part of the municipality. The organization sensitized markets women, food vendors, on fire and climate change related disasters. Again, similar public awareness campaign programmes were organized for the inhabitants of Teshie, especially, landlords, landladies, tenants and residents, stressing more on the hazards associated with inferior and poor wiring of electrical fittings in homes and the effects of open burning.

LeKMA HOLDS CORE MANAGEMENT MEETING

A Core Management meeting of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly was held on Monday. The meeting which took place at the Assembly’s conference room saw the attendance of the M.C.E, Honourable Mordecai Quarshie, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Ing. John Tsikor and some key heads of Departments and Units at the Assembly. The matters discussed at the meeting included Child Welfare Clinics, distribution of 2022 bills, revenue mobilization and furnishing of the Zonal Councils.

1ST QUARTER BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

The Budget Department of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly held their 1st Quarter Budget meeting on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Municipal Assembly hall. The coordinating Director for the municipal, Eng. John Tsikor was the chairperson for this meeting. In attendance were, Mrs Patience Dogbey Danku, head of the budget\rating unit, staff of the budget\rating unit, Director of health, social welfare and community development, finance officer, head of MIS(Management Information Systems) etc.

14 FARMERS TO BE COMPENSATED AFTER BIRD FLU INFECTION

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (Ghana), through the Municipal Agriculture office of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly presented certificates to 14 farmers in the municipality today, Thursday 7th April, 2022.
These farmers whose poultry were affected by the Avian Influenza, also known as Bird Flu in the years 2021 and 2022 are being compensated for the inconveniences caused by the outbreak of the disease.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Mordecai Quarshie who presented the certificates to the farmers, expressed his sympathy with them. The farmers were also appreciative of the gesture

FIRST QUARTER MUNICIPAL PLANNING CO-ORDINATING UNIT (MPCU) MEETING

The Municipal Planning Coordinating Unit (MPCU), a statutory body of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) held its first quarter meeting on Wednesday, March 30 2022 at the Municipal Assembly hall, Teshie.

The meeting, which saw the quarterly discussions and assessments of progress reports based on Action Plan and Activities of all Departments/Units of the Assembly was attended by all Heads of the various departments/units.

Heads of Department as well as representatives of Units took turns to give presentations of their progress of work.

Assessments and questions were asked to ascertain the presentation delivered by the various heads on their progress of work.

Below is the agenda discussed during the meeting;

  1. Review of previous minutes
  2. PowerPoint presentation of first quarter activities by Departments and Units
  3. Any other business

The Municipal Development Planning Officer charged the various officers to deliver these documents on time to facilitate its progress and onward forwarding to the regional coordinating council on time
