The Human Resource Department of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) on March the 17th and 18th, 2021, organized a 2-day revenue mobilization workshop for staff.
About sixty participants, comprising of thirty-one (31) females and twenty-nine (29) males, including Heads of Departments and some selected staff undergone the training.
The objective of the workshop was to empower all departments in the revenue mobilization sector of the Assembly, with training to enhance their functionality in their day-to-day administrative duties.
Participants were taken through some strategic resource mobilization process, including planning, budgeting, procurement and contract management, accounting and auditing; role of stakeholders in revenue mobilization; recommendations for increases in resources; license mobilization; property rate mobilization and good practices of revenue mobilization.
Other parts of the training covered internally and externally generation of funds for the administration of the Assembly.
The 2-day workshop saw the use of PowerPoint presentations, lectures, discussions, practical questions and answer sessions as the mood of methodology for the training.
