The Greater Accra Regional Minister Hon. Ismael Ashitey has on TUESDAY, 12TH February 2019 paid a working visit to the Lezdokuku Municipal Assembly, Teshie.
The Minister was accompanied by Mr. Ernest Nyagbe, Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating council and two other members of the RCC. The visit was to find out the achievements and challenges the Assembly is facing in the past two years and how the RCC and the assembly can work together to make the municipality a better place
In her welcome address, the Municipal Chief Executive Ms. Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum Gyamerah asked that all the heads of departments cooperate with the Minister and his team and welcomed them to the Municipality
The chief director of RCC, Mr. Ernest Nyagbe said they are there to find out achievements and challenges the Assembly is facing and asked everyone to cooperate with them to make the assembly a better place, he mentioned that we must work together to make Ghana better place for all. video
Mr. Nyagbe noted that in the next two years, there should be something we can show as an Assembly and emphasized that development should be our priority as an Assembly.
The Regional Minister in his speech said, we should think of where we want to be in the next two years, what we hope to achieve and work towards that. Hon Ashitey noted that development of the District levels is done by the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, (MMDA) and if government can be said to have done well, it depends on the MMDA and asked that we all work together to make the municipality developed.
He asked the Heads of Departments to share their achievements and challenges with them.
